About this course
Introduction – Jolly Phonics Group 1
Today, we are going to start Group 1 in Jolly Phonics.
In this group, children will learn six letter sounds:
s – a – t – i – p – n
We do not teach the letter names at first.
We teach the sounds of the letters, because this helps children read and blend words more easily.
Each sound is taught using:
• A clear sound
• An action
• A song
• And fun activities
This method helps children remember the sounds quickly and enjoy learning.
