About this course
Today, we are starting Group 2 in Jolly Phonics.
In this group, children will learn six new letter sounds:
c – k – e – h – r – m
By now, children already know some sounds from Group 1, so they are ready to learn more sounds and read more words.
We continue to focus on letter sounds, not letter names, to help children become confident readers.

Explanation of Group 2
In Group 2, children will learn how to:
• Recognize new sounds
• Blend sounds to read more words
مثل: cat – hen – red – him
• Segment sounds to help with spelling
Children will also start to notice that:
• Some sounds can make more than one word
• Blending becomes faster and smoother
Each sound is taught using:
• A sound
• An action
• A song
• And fun activities
This helps children learn in a fun, active, and memorable way.
